Meet Dr. Maryam Ali (Chehalis, WA)

Maryam Ali, O.D, earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Chicago College of Optometry in 2023 and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Purdue University in 2019.

Dr. Ali’s interest in optometry began at a young age when she started wearing glasses. That experience sparked a passion for helping others see clearly and live more comfortably. During her academic journey, she became a proud Boilermaker, a nickname for students and alumni of Purdue, known for their grit, innovation, and academic excellence. At Chicago College of Optometry, she immersed herself in research on visual therapy–guided rehabilitation in pediatric patients with cortical vision impairment, the effects of contact lenses on eye movements, and optical-pupil interactions.

Dr. Ali values the trust she builds with her patients and finds the most rewarding part of her profession is having the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Her approach to patient care focuses on listening closely to individual needs and delivering effective, personalized solutions.

In her time, Dr. Ali enjoys traveling, painting, and baking.
