Meet Dr. Margaret Akesson (Chehalis, WA)
Margaret Akesson, O.D., completed her Doctor of Optometry from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in 2024. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Washington State University in 2020.
As a rural eastern Washington native, Dr. Akesson was inspired to become an optometrist to provide eye health care to underserved rural communities. She is passionate about raising awareness for the importance of regular eye examinations and looks forward to making a difference in her local community as an Optometrist.
In her free time, Dr. Akesson enjoys spending time outdoors. Her favorite activities include horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, and gardening.
