John Stoddard, OD
Dr. Stoddard is an optometrist in Chehalis providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.
After receiving a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in English from Saint Martin's College, Dr. Stoddard earned his doctorate in Optometry in 1989 from Pacific University in Oregon. He completed an internship at the Madigan Army Medical Center and a preceptorship at the Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute. In addition to managing partner responsibilities at Lewis County Eye and Vision Associates, his interests include ocular disease management and post-surgical LASIK. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and past society president and trustee of the Washington Association of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Stoddard and his wife, Becky, reside in Olympia with their three children, Timmy, Bethy and Ian. Dr. Stoddard is an avid golfer, but would prefer not to talk about his last round.
Robert Burrows, OD
Dr. Robert Burrows was born and raised in Chehalis and is a fourth generation Chehalian.
He attended K-12 in the Chehalis School System, graduating from WF West High School, attending Centralia College and the University of Washington. He graduated from Pacific University with a Bachelor of Sciences in Visual Optics in 1978 and a Doctorate of Optometry in 1981. He was a recipient of a research award from the PTU Optometric Fraternity and was a member of the OEPhi Optometric fraternity. His internship in graduate school was at the American Lake Veterans Hospital. Dr. Burrows is a thirty-six year member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington and has received the American Optometric Associations Optometric Recognition Award for Thirty-Six consecutive years.
Dr. Burrows area of interest are in the care and management of Cataracts, Glaucom and Muscular degeneration. An additional area of interest and emphasis for Dr. Burrows is the fitting and management of Contact lens and the management of refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Burrows is a third generation member of the Centralia-Chehalis Kiwanis Club and has served on their board of directors.
Dr. Burrows is a co-owner of Lewis County Eye & Vision. He joined the practice in 1981 and became co-owner in 1986.

As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Burrows provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Burrows is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Burrows is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Burrows works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Burrows's dedication to continuing education that our Chehalis patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
